Museum Store Consignment
We’re looking for up-and-coming artists to feature in the Museum Store!
We’re searching for artists from the Sacramento region to sell their work on consignment in the Crocker Art Museum Store.
Our original debut was planned for April 1st, 2021. We have had to push back that date slightly due to staffing changes and increased workload due to reopening. The Museum Store Manager will begin reaching out to selected artists starting the second week of April.
Many thanks for your patience and support. Please contact email@example.com if you have any further questions.
Rachel McFarland, Museum Store Manager
If you’ve missed the deadline for our first round of selections, no problem! We will continue to rotate artists into the store.
What we’re looking for:
- Emerging artists from the Sacramento region
- Artists from diverse backgrounds, especially those historically underrepresented in art museums and galleries
- 2-D or 3-D art is fine — art should not exceed 24″ in largest dimension due to display needs
- Don’t have a large body of work for sale? No problem! Even if you only have one or two pieces available we want to hear from you.
The starting consignment period is 60 days. The sale of artwork on consignment will be split, with 75% going to the Artist and 25% going to the Museum Store. We agree to sell the art at the price you set, and will not discount any art on consignment. In addition, if your artwork is brought into the store, our staff photographer will be happy to photograph your work for professional use.
Admissions will be selected by a panel of staff members from various departments at the Crocker.
We look forward to hearing from you!
